An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a testing & inspection procedure prescribed by the BS7671 Wiring Regulations. It is intended to determine the overall safety of the electrical system and identify any issues which need to be addressed.
An overall statement of either “Satisfactory” or “Unsatisfactory” will be made.
A “Satisfactory” outcome means that the system is safe for continued use under the current conditions for a period specified by the inspector. This is usually 5 years but could vary depending on findings.
An “Unsatisfactory” outcome means that there are serious safety concerns which need to be corrected. The inspector will advise how urgently such issues need to be addressed.

Steffan is highly electrically competent and has a wealth of knowledge from previously working as a house renovator, helping massively to retrofit installations sympathetically into occupied properties.
I had Steffan round for a week to install structured network cabling in my 120 year old house, and you could barely tell he’s been here with everything put back so neatly.
Steffan successfully completed running 15 network cables over 3 routes, one involving cutting a hidden channel under the trim of a large door and window, another fishing under a suspended wooden floor, and the main route notching out under the stairs and heading to the upper levels of the property.
We were also able to complete 2 runs of single mode fibre as a future proofing exercise, not intended for immediate use.
I performed the terminations myself, but I’m sure Steffan would provide this service for anyone who didn’t want to do it!
The pictures on this review show a work in progress, many of the patch panel terminations have since been redone to have the cable lengths more aesthetically pleasing.
I wouldn’t hesitate to get Steffan involved with any future projects, and have already recommended his work to friends.
We recently had a broken light in our downstairs toilet, which turned out to be dangerous. Steffan got to the bottom of the issue very quickly.
I highly recommend Steffan for his attention to detail, value for money and how respectful he is in our home. Thank you Steffan, we will not hesitate to use you again.
Outstanding service from Steff. He came to place data cables from my router to the router in my office so I had a stable wired connection while working from home.
Steff was wife friendly, child friendly and dog friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Fantastic service and very efficient! Turned up when promised and did a great job! Would highly recommend

I have used Fusebox Wales for the last 8 years to undertake a wide range of electrical work , from a full domestic re-wiring to changing light fittings, to wiring a cooker!
Tim always turns up when he says he will, charges what he said he would and clears up. I have never had to recall him because of a fault with his work.
Would absolutely recommend !

With Tim you get exactly what it says on the tin: he comes when he says he will: he does the work that he has agreed to carry out and he does it at the price you expected. He is friendly, open and cooperative, offering ideas and suggestions for improvements at realistic costs. I am assured by his competence and confident that the work he carries out meets the regulations as well as being safe and properly executed. If you want a n electrician you can trust, wait until Time is free to do your job: you’ll be glad you waited.

Truly professional and knowledge service completed on the date and time booked. Also sound advice given. We have no hesitation to reccomend Fusebox Wales and to choose them for any future electric work. Many Thanks

We’ve used Fusebox twice for substantial amounts of work in 2 houses. On each occasion we’ve been very pleased with the high standard of work. In addition the excellent communication and reliability that Tim provides makes life so much easier, and is a cut above the usual. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again.

We have been using Fusebox Wales for many years now and have to say there service from first contact to completion of works provides us with a first class service with reliability with reasonable costs. Nothing is to much trouble for Tim, and we will continue to use them for many yeas to come.

Fusebox Wales have an excellent service giving a price that was adhered too and turned up to the job when they advised they would.
Very knowledgeable offering us solutions for the work and above all clean.

Booked on website. Had an email confirming the appointment. Tim arrived on time, as promised and fixed our pantry lights. Great service and good value. Thank you! Would thoroughly recommend. Have saved Tim’s number for future use.
Tim is always professional, efficient, thorough, and friendly. Clearly knows what he is doing, and can explain any work layman’s terms. Reliable and great to work with! :)

We bless the day I finally found the excellent, concise, clear, informative website of Tim Phillips’ ‘Fusebox Wales’. We had a small electrical enquiry, regarding a faulty wall light. Previous enquiries with other electricians had us ‘let down’ (non appearance after pre-arranged appointment or swooning from verbal projections on suggestions of what was causing the fault and how much it might cost.) Tim’s website easily pointed us in the right direction. Posting him an enquiry, via the website provided us with an immediate email response. Soon we had an offer of a time&date for him to visit our home. Tim was punctual, courteous and after a thorough inspection of the electrical fault (failed connection to the wall light) came up with what he could do to repair . This even included suggested change to L.E.D lighting , something I had briefly previously considered. In all, he was here at least an hour & 15 minutes (working all that time on the electrics) and we were more than satisfied by the cost and service. He even emailed later to check on our satisfaction with his work. Yes, a trusty & reliable Electrician, the customer knows, if needed, they will totally employ again!
I have been working with Tim from Fusebox Wales for over 15 years, assisting us with all the legal complexities around electrical safety and residential lettings. I completely trust his judgement, and his professionalism is second to none. I regularly recommend Tim to friends, clients etc and use him on all my own properties too.
