The ‘Site Visit Charge’ is the element of the overall service which covers the electrician travel and transportation of necessary equipment to the site of work, setting up the work site and packing down at the end of the job.
This charge is applied just once to every booking, no matter how many services are booked.
Welcome to BOOKaSPARK Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using our website at www.bookaspark.com (the “Website”) to make a booking, you (“Customer,” “you,” “your”) agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read these Terms carefully before finalising your booking.
1.1 BOOKaSPARK Ltd is a private limited company registered in England & Wales (Reg No: 15689797). We provide an online platform that allows customers to find and book appointments with local electricians for a range of pre-packaged domestic electrical services.
1.2 Our services include searching for local electricians, facilitating appointment bookings by integrating with electricians’ diaries, and providing relevant contact details to both you (the customer) and the electrician.
2.1 To book a service, you must search for available electricians in your local area by entering your postcode into our search function.
2.2 Once you select an electrician and choose a specific service, you will be able to view available appointment slots in real time. After selecting a time and date, you will be required to complete the booking process by providing additional information and paying a booking fee via our checkout page.
2.3 Upon receipt of your booking and payment, the appointment will be reserved in the electrician’s diary, pending their acceptance/approval.
2.4 If the electrician accepts the booking within 24 hours, you will receive a confirmation email containing the booking details and the electrician’s contact information. The electrician will also receive your contact details and all relevant booking information.
3.1 The booking fee is charged at the point of booking and is non-refundable unless otherwise specified in these Terms. The booking fee is for the service provided by BOOKaSPARK, which includes displaying local electricians, facilitating the booking process, and ensuring the exchange of contact details between you and the electrician.
3.2 If the electrician fails to accept the booking within 24 hours, BOOKaSPARK will refund the booking fee in full.
4.1 Once the booking is confirmed, BOOKaSPARK has no further involvement in the actual delivery of the service. The electrician is solely responsible for turning up to the appointment, performing the service as described on the Website, and any subsequent payment arrangements.
4.2 BOOKaSPARK accepts no responsibility for the electrician’s failure to attend the appointment, any issues with the quality of the service provided, or any disputes that may arise between you and the electrician.
4.3 Any changes or additions to the service, as well as any amendments to the appointment, must be agreed upon directly between you and the electrician. BOOKaSPARK will not be involved in these negotiations.
4.4 While we perform due diligence in selecting and monitoring electricians on our platform, BOOKaSPARK cannot be held responsible for the actions, quality of service, or any failures of the electricians listed on our Website.
5.1 If the electrician does not accept the booking within 24 hours, the booking fee will be refunded in full to you.
5.2 Once the booking is accepted, the booking fee is non-refundable. Any cancellations or rescheduling must be arranged directly with the electrician, and any potential refunds are subject to the electrician’s policies.
6.1 In the event that an electrician fails to accept your booking or cancels after acceptance, BOOKaSPARK may offer assistance in finding an alternative electrician, but we are not obligated to do so.
7.1 You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
7.2 You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide during the booking process is accurate and complete.
8.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9.1 BOOKaSPARK reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Website, and your continued use of the Website will constitute acceptance of the amended Terms.

We bless the day I finally found the excellent, concise, clear, informative website of Tim Phillips’ ‘Fusebox Wales’. We had a small electrical enquiry, regarding a faulty wall light. Previous enquiries with other electricians had us ‘let down’ (non appearance after pre-arranged appointment or swooning from verbal projections on suggestions of what was causing the fault and how much it might cost.) Tim’s website easily pointed us in the right direction. Posting him an enquiry, via the website provided us with an immediate email response. Soon we had an offer of a time&date for him to visit our home. Tim was punctual, courteous and after a thorough inspection of the electrical fault (failed connection to the wall light) came up with what he could do to repair . This even included suggested change to L.E.D lighting , something I had briefly previously considered. In all, he was here at least an hour & 15 minutes (working all that time on the electrics) and we were more than satisfied by the cost and service. He even emailed later to check on our satisfaction with his work. Yes, a trusty & reliable Electrician, the customer knows, if needed, they will totally employ again!

Steffan is highly electrically competent and has a wealth of knowledge from previously working as a house renovator, helping massively to retrofit installations sympathetically into occupied properties.
I had Steffan round for a week to install structured network cabling in my 120 year old house, and you could barely tell he’s been here with everything put back so neatly.
Steffan successfully completed running 15 network cables over 3 routes, one involving cutting a hidden channel under the trim of a large door and window, another fishing under a suspended wooden floor, and the main route notching out under the stairs and heading to the upper levels of the property.
We were also able to complete 2 runs of single mode fibre as a future proofing exercise, not intended for immediate use.
I performed the terminations myself, but I’m sure Steffan would provide this service for anyone who didn’t want to do it!
The pictures on this review show a work in progress, many of the patch panel terminations have since been redone to have the cable lengths more aesthetically pleasing.
I wouldn’t hesitate to get Steffan involved with any future projects, and have already recommended his work to friends.
